This unit is built like a tank, has a multitude of functions and options for you to customize how you burn your CDs or DVDs, can be used as a stand alone burner or used in conjunction with a PC with the bundled software (Roxio 9XE) to double its burning capacity, can Lightscribe those special discs, not to mention the high quality Aleratec customer support that is included (which I used and were very courteous and quick to answer my questions).

What I really like about this duplicator is that you can connect it via USB to your PC to double the amount of discs you can burn at the same time, and if you need more capacity, you can buy another of these units and connect it via USB to the same PC to quadruple your burning capacity. Two units are the limit though, but that option prevents your first unit becoming obsolete because you outgrew its capacity.

This machine can do it all quickly and Aleratec's great support staff is part of the package. I am glad I purchased this unit and the price I got from Amazon was fantastic!

This a fairly decent product that works and delivers on it's claims...but that's it.

If you want a very basic unit that's not at all user-friendly with only the minimum features and functions...this is it.

If you make home movies and share them with family and friends, this unit saves a world of time. With this unit and my other computer equipment I can now burn 4 DVD's at once. Did I mention it has lightscribe and dual layer features. Bundled software is somewhat lame, but I use Nero 7 and it works great.

I like the DVD burner, but the slow speed is the only drawback I have found. I needed to make archival copy's of disc's, and time working with this was a little slow. I would need to be around the desk to much to be ready when the new disc was needed. Once I got the time down for a disc to copy, I could check back in so many minutes and I would be near the completion time.
